Cantorial Soloist Ricki Weintraub

Cantorial Soloist Ricki Baird

Ricki Weintraub has been song leading and teaching in Jewish supplementary schools since 1970 and has been with Congregation Beth David since 1997. In addition to leading Sabbath and Festival services, some of her duties include preparing children and adults as they become b'nei mitzvah, teaching prayer, Jewish history, and sharing her love for Israel in Adult Education Programs, Hebrew School and Religious School. Originally from Chicago and raised in Akron, Ohio, Ricki says that she is “a product of all my influences, starting with Debbie Friedman from my days at URJ Kutz Camp”. Her involvement in NELFTY (now NFTY-NEL) and NFTY were influential in her development. Her love of teaching and music, and her passion for Israel and Judaism continue to motivate her to learn and share with our congregation and our community.
