Congregation Beth David is a Reform Jewish Congregation which seeks to provide an environment where a wide range of Jews will feel welcome and comfortable and be active in their practice of Judaism.
Our religious and educational programs and social activities for all ages and backgrounds encourage members to integrate Jewish values into their everyday life. In so doing, our members foster Judaism in San Luis Obispo County, help our children develop stronger Jewish identities, and nurture spirituality within and beyond the Jewish community.

Social Action Committee Volunteer Participation Opportunities
HOMELESS OVERFLOW in AUGUST Every August CBD is the overnight host each night in our social hall to many women, men, children and families who are homeless. For those who have participated in this very rewarding program you already know how worthwhile it is to provide a safe and secure place for families to sleep and to get to know the real face of our homeless community. We need 2-person host teams for each night to spend the night. Each person will be awake ½ the time to assist in any needs of our guests. We have a comfortable and private area for the team members to sleep. We are starting to formulate the calendar for the month of August so if you are available to commit to this great mitzvah please email Vivian Levy at jardinjunk@hotmail.com. Respond soon so that you can get your chosen date. We will also need a few on-call hosts to fill in if at the last minute someone has to cancel. And we will be needing snack donations and for our back to school kids we will be getting them new knapsacks and school supplies and shoes. Stay tuned for more ways to become involved and serve our community. Stay tuned for more ways to become involved and serving our community.
