Congregation Beth David is a Reform Jewish Congregation which seeks to provide an environment where a wide range of Jews will feel welcome and comfortable and be active in their practice of Judaism.
Our religious and educational programs and social activities for all ages and backgrounds encourage members to integrate Jewish values into their everyday life. In so doing, our members foster Judaism in San Luis Obispo County, help our children develop stronger Jewish identities, and nurture spirituality within and beyond the Jewish community.

Lunch With the Rabbi Thursday, March 18th at 12:30 pm at CBD (bring your own lunch) March Topic: Howard Zinn: A Jewish People’s History… There aren’t many people who change the way we look at and think of ourselves. Howard Zinn (1922-2010) was one of them. The unconventional history professor, who put the “revision” in “Revisionist History,” turned the American story upside down with his groundbreaking and still controversial work, “A People’s History of the United States.” We’ll look at and discuss passages from this now-classic text that describe the American Jewish experience –from Ellis Island to suburbia, from sweat-shop unionists to Julius and Ethel Rosenberg
